Reading also gets your little one started on the road to school (no matter how young they are). The only problem with reading when they get older and start to love the same stories over and over is that there are only so many times you can read The Gruffalo or similar before you want to tear your hair out! I also find reading can soothe them, at 5 weeks my child doesn't really pay much attention, but I think just through them being spoken to engages them and they seem more peaceful. We are currently on Thomas the tank Engine, and have some Baby Einstein books to read. Good article. You need to ask for an ECM (enriched culture medium) test to make sure you're getting the accurate test. When oh when will this be be made available on the NHS???
